Rallycross is coming to Australia.

David Ridden, the Managing Director of Global Rallycross Australia, spoke excitedly about this new championship: “For drivers there is no other motorsport in the world that’s more exciting. Racing side by side at over 160km an hour with 9 other drivers only millimetres apart is sure to get your attention,”

“Add massive jumps, a combination of dirt and tarmac and there is no other form of racing that puts a driver’s skill to the test as much as Rallycross.”

“Rallycross events are designed to deliver non-stop action and exciting racing with no lengthy breaks between races.

“From go to whoa, every round is guaranteed to be one big party. This is great for sponsors, teams and drivers, as the event program has been designed to let fans get up close and personal with their favorite drivers, as well as providing the opportunity for sponsors activate right in the heart of the action.”

The SIDCHROME EXTREME Rallycross Championship will feature three classes: Supercar Lites, 4WD Turbo and 2WD Non-Turbo.

“The Rallycross Supercar Lites are wild cars,” Ridden remarked.

“These things are purpose-built race cars, all of which come out of the world famous Motorsport factory Olsbergs MSE.”

“We took well known Australian Rally Ace, Jack Monkhouse, to the States for a test last year and it blew his mind,”

“For drivers, parity is important, and because all cars competing in the Supercar Lites category are built in the same factory, the championship will highlight driver skill – ensuring that the cream rises to the top.”

The SIDCHROME EXTREME Rallycross Championship will cap the number of Supercar Lite team franchises at 10, intending to protect and ensure the longevity of this fantastic sport in Australia, as wel as to assist teams in building a valuable asset.

“When you purchase a SIDCHROME EXTREME Rallycross franchise, you get much more than just an extreme machine that’s fast and rewarding to drive.

“You are also creating a future with an opportunity to create a professional team, build a business and increase the equity in your initial investment,” explained David.

“The franchise agreement we have put in place ensures your investment retains value and continues to grow.

“Rallycross is the future of motor racing in Australia and, as such offers unlimited commercial opportunities for the smart team owner, driver and sponsor alike.

“The championship has been designed to cultivate passionate fans between the ages of 16-30. Our theory is to start them young and keep them for life,” he added.

“Many motorsport categories have tried to engage this fickle, yet extremely important target market with little success.

“The SIDCHROME EXTREME Rallycross Championship is perfectly positioned to buck the trend, and get your sponsors’ brands in front of these eyeballs by delivering the fast paced, extreme experiences they crave.”
