After a seven week pause, the WRC will resume in Argentina later this month. As ever, iRally will be here to bring you the best online coverage. The season so far has been filled with drama, and we can no doubt expect more of it as the teams head to South America.

A hat trick for reigning champion Sebastien Ogier in the Monte Carlo, Sweden and Mexico rounds of this year’s championship mean that he’s out in front on 81 points, having taken two Power Stage wins on top of his overall rally wins. Team mate Andreas Mikkelsen has also been a consistent finisher so far this year, taking third place at every rally – this sees him sitting in second overall on 47 points. Third is Thierry Neuville, who’s shown some real promise this year so far – with 35 points he’s not too far behind the leaders.
Rally Argentina takes place around the lakeside resort of Villa Carlos Paz, 700km north-west of Buenos Aires. This year will kick off with a brand new Super Special on Thursday evening (23/4/15) while stages of up to 56km in length will test the speed and endurance of all drivers and co-drivers involved. The variety of stages will also challenge them – a mixture of open gravel roads and tight, rocky mountain passes make this event a tricky one.
While Ogier holds the lead, he’s never won in Argentina – last year’s honours went to Volkswagen team mate Jarri-Matti Latvala. Ogier will be one to watch, as he’ll no doubt be keen to extend his winning streak and take his first ever Rally Argentina victory. The action begins at 1900 local time on the 23rd of April.
