The Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team is already among the trophies this year after winning a poll for the ‘best looking livery’ in the World Rally Championship (WRC). The wrc.com website invited fans to make their choice and Abu Dhabi took 34 per cent of the vote to finish top ahead of last year’s winners M-Sport, who polled 30 per cent.
The team’s livery on its DS3 World Rally Cars is all-new for 2016 and Khalid Al-Qassimi was delighted with the poll’s results.
He said: “I would like to thank the fans all over the world for choosing the best livery in WRC – we are happy to see this result.
“I had a bit of confidence about winning the poll based on the great feedback we received ever since we published the first photos. Also, the feedback from Monte-Carlo was very encouraging.
“The design is based on Abu Dhabi destination identity’s colour, we added our touches to the livery with emotions to please the WRC fans as well as the media.”
