But while points leader Kajetan Kajetanowicz and the home hero Ralfs Sirmacis will drive their usual Ford Fiesta R5 and ŠKODA Fabia R5, Alexey Lukyanuk will deploy his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X – the car with which he spectacularly won in Estonia last season.

Lukyanuk is just part of an incredible ERC2 entry, featuring the standings top three of Wojciech Chuchała, Giacomo Scattolon and Tibor Érdi Jr but also local experts Jānis Vorobjovs and Māris Neikšāns and rapid Estonian Siim Plangi.

The final round of the ERC Junior Championship has also proven particularly popular, with Estonia winner Miko Niinemäe, compatriot Gustav Kruuda and Finns Joonas Tokee and Alex Forsström all returning, joining the likes of title protagonists Chris Ingram and Marijan Griebel and Latvian prospect Nikolay Gryazin.
