Thierry Neuville will start Ypres Rally

The New Year is only just upon us and the Ypres Rally is still 5 months away and yet the SuperStage organisers have been madly busy these last few days putting a top billboard together. At the Brussels Car Show Hyundai Belgium announced that, together with Hyundai Motorsport, they would be entering an i20 R5 I for Thierry Neuville, the 2016 vice-World Champion.

Also at Autosport International, the world renowned motorshow in Birmingham, Club SuperStage was represented on the MSA and British Rally Championship stand.

Various British stalwarts paid a visit to the stand and confirmed their intention of travelling over for the Ypres Rally.

Obviously it is still too early and the registrations are not open as yet, but Marty McCormack, Neil Simpson, Fredrik Ahlin, David Bogie, Callum Devine, Matt Edwards, Desy Henry and Jamie Anderson are looking forward to being at the start of the Ypres Rally with their R5 machines.

The British Championship is getting well prepared for a strong second season.

The TER also announced its first registrations, with as pleasant surprise the entry of Chewon Lim with a Hyundai i20 R5. Pieter Tsjoen has registered for the Tour European Rally with his trustworthy Ford Fiesta R5, while the Dutchman Henk Bakkenes will be going for it with a Mitsubishi Lancer EvoX. Krzysztof Schenk is opting for a Honda Civic Type-R, whereas Roland Schenk will be at the wheel of an Opel Adam R2 and Daniel Popov has announced his presence with a Peugeot 208 R2.
