Williams F1 reserve driver Robert Kubica has had enough of same old question

Quit asking him about his 2011 rally crash, injuries, he asks

Robert Kubica wants the media to move on from the storyline about his physical limitations since his 2011 rally crash left him with reduced mobility in his right hand and right wrist.It was an injury that forced him from Formula 1 after 76 F1 starts (12 podiums and one win) from 2006 through 2010.

Kubica is back this week as a test driver for Williams F1 this week in Barcelona. Kubica plans to run some Friday practice sessions on Formula 1 weekends this season.

On Tuesday, Kubica posted the seventh quickest time in the test session and even beat Williams’ Sergey Sirotkin by three-tenths of a second.

Afterward, he expressed irritation with reporters’ questions about his physical limitations.

“I’ve always been comfortable,” Kubica told Brazil’s Globo. “Only the media says I was not comfortable. If I can jump in the car and do my job, I think that’s enough. The problem is that I was very honest, and then people kept asking the same questions. And if I get in the car, you’re going to keep saying I have limitations.

“Of course I have limitations, but I never hid that from anyone. We should stop talking about it.”
