Rali TT ROX do Dande 2019: Ricardo Sequeira won the second race of the season in Angola

A demanding and spectacular race welcomed the participants of the 2019 Rali TT ROX do Dande held in the province of Bengo in Angola.  The route featured many different types of terrain, in a mix of fast and slow section with sand, mud and rocks.

The motorbike class keeps improving in numbers and competitiveness. João Catarino in KTM SXF350 was the fastest on the road, but several penalties deprived him from the victory, finishing in second place. Rui Carvalho in Honda CRF 450 got the overall victory and beaten the KTM armada.   Alexandre Ferreira in KTM EXC450 finished third.

Kenny Jorge in Yamaha Raptor 700 won the Quad category with authority, after being consistently the fastest throughout all the race, winning all 4 specials. Paulo Trindade (returning to CARR) in Honda TRX450 finished second while Joaquim Vicente (a rookie in CARR) riding a Yamaha Raptor 700  finished third.
In the cars, the pairing  Ricardo Sequeira /Jorge Monteiro won the race in a Mitsubishi Pajero. The winner even had to deal with some problems after the failure of the rear transmission of his car.  Maló Almeida in Nissan finished second after a good performance, specially on the first three stages of the rally.  In third finished Paulo Diogo/Asdrubal Costa also Mitsubishi 
And finally the SSV (Class E)  which in Angola is still in early days, was won by Hugo Carvalho (Polaris 900). José Rocha in Polaris 1000 finished second. Hamilton Gonçalves still learning to race on his Polaris 900 finished third.
