THURSDAY RECAP
- Ott Tänak took a brace of stage victories to lead Rallye Monte-Carlo at the end of Thursday. It’s close, though, with Kalle Rovanperä breathing down his neck.

- Teemu Suninen was the first casualty of the rally. The Finn had been setting a scorching pace through the first stage when he ran wide, hit a banking and rolled his M-Sport Ford Fiesta off the road.
- Sébastien Ogier was hindered by some minor braking issues on his Yaris and currently holds fifth.
Stage three will start the action tomorrow morning.
