20-strong WTCC entry list unveiled

The official entry list for the 2016 FIA World Touring Car Championship has been revealed, with Tom Coronel confirming his return and John Bryant-Meisner set to make his debut. Though most of the grid had been confirmed, with several driver changes taking place over the course of the winter, the entry list has revealed touring car veteran Coronel will remain with the ROAL Chevrolet team, while NIKA Racing, which is making a full-time return to WTCC this year, has signed ex-F3 driver Bryant-Meisner.

Heading up the entry list is 2014 and 2015 champions Citroen Racing, albeit with a slimmed line-up of just Jose Maria Lopez and Yvan Muller, while Honda swells to three Civics, with Tiago Monteiro joined by Norbert Michelisz and Rob Huff.

LADA welcomes experienced Gabriele Tarquini and youngster Hugo Valente to race with Nicky Catsburg, while Volvo returns to the fold under the Cyan Racing banner and multiple Swedish champions Thed Bjork and Fredrik Ekblom.

Elsewhere, Sebastien Loeb Racing adds Tom Chilton and Gregoire Dermoustier to its line-up with Mehdi Bennani, while John Filippi and Rene Munnich will driver Chevrolets.

Though it hasn’t signed any drivers, Zengo Motorsport is listed with two TBA entries, while Campos Racing is also set to run a second car. ROAL will run just Coronel this year
