All to play for at DEOD SuperGP Champions Trophy finale

The final round of the DEOD SuperGP Champions Trophy takes place at Dezzi South Coast Raceway outside Port Shepstone on Saturday, 19 September 2015. With championships still to be decided in three of the four classes that make up the series, race fans can expect some close racing as the riders battle for maximum points.

Apart from the first heat in Cape Town, SuperGP championship leader Clint Seller (NeoLife Africa Yamaha R1) has been on the podium at every race this season. Coming off the back of three wins on the trot he is the favourite to clinch his second successive SuperGP title. Mathew Scholtz (EmTek Racing Nashua Yamaha R1), whose season started slowly while he was waiting for the new Yamaha R1 to arrive, is the only rider with a chance of stopping Seller and will be pulling out all the stops to do so in his home province.

The battle for third in the championship is tight. Lance Isaacs (Black Swan Racing / BMW Motorrad S1000RR) currently has a five-point lead over Brent Harran (RD Racing Odin Powersport Kawasaki ZX10R) with Brandon Goode (EmTek Racing Nashua Yamaha R1) a further 17 points further back. With a maximum of 50 points available on the day, Nicolas Kershaw (Tsunami Beach Bar, BMW Motorrad S1000RR) is also in with a mathematical chance of grabbing the final podium spot.

Super600

Steven Odendaal (NeoLife Africa Yamaha R6) has all but got his second successive Super600 title in the bag. He needs just one point from the two races to lift the trophy again. Michael White (Consortium Shipping Kawasaki ZX6) is fairly secure in second but the battle for third could be interesting. Adolf Boshoff (Indy Oil Toy Store Kawasaki ZX6) has a 10 point advantage over Blaze Baker (Russell Wood Kawasaki ZX6) but that is not enough to be comfortable.

Nicole van Aswegen (Triumph SA / Women in Motorsport Triumph 675) and Anthony Shelley (EmTek Racing Nashua Yamaha R6), who only joined the Super600 series at the fourth round, seem likely to finish in fifth and sixth respectively.

SuperJunior

William Friend won both heats last time out at Red Star to wrap up the SuperJunior championship.  Dominic Doyle, Brandon Staffen and Luca Coccioni are separated by 20 points in the battle for the other two championship podium positions.

Tyreece Roberts and Lance Marais are separated by just two points in the battle for fifth.

SuperM

Beau Levey has an almost unassailable lead in the SuperM category and Neil van Loggerenberg will have to win both races at the finale to deny him the championship.
