Baja Russia – Northern Forest’s safety officer Sergey Talantsev has just finalized the route and sent a few glimpses of what is expecting the participants at the race in the depth of Saint-Petersburg forests. The organizers are happy to announce, the race is gonna be hot! Finally the snow as arrived to the region and will be once again be one if not the main feature of this amazing race.
The only snow-ice Baja in the world takes place 6-9 February 2020 on the roads of the Leningrad Region, near Saint Petersburg.
As in the previous years, the competition will be held as the 1st round of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Bajas and the 1st round of the Russian CrossCountry Championship.
Baja “RUSSIA – Northern Forest”, that has been held in the North-West region of Russia since 2003, this year will have an absolutely new format. This year, the race will exploit the tracks never used before.
The Igora Drive Sports & Entertainment Complex, the world-class leisure center (54 km from Saint Petersburg by Priozerskoe Highway), is chosen for the Prologue and the spectator area at special stages. The Rally Headquarters,Service Park, Parc Ferme and the press office will also be located in the Motorsport center Igora Drive.
Baja “RUSSIA – Northern Forest” new format will allow to hold the competition in extremely comfortable conditions for the participants and the spectators. This rally will be the first international event in the 2020 calendar for the Motorsport center Igora Drive
