Following his collision with Simon Marčič, Stéphane Peterhansel has reached WP2 11’55 behind Cyril Despres. However, the Dakar record holder could retrieve several minutes this evening after having gone to the help of the Slovenian biker. As a result, it is difficult to know Peterhansel’s actual racing position.

Cyril Despres is driving a great stage. The Frenchman now leads at WP2 almost five minutes ahead of Yazeed Al Rajhi and his Mini. Sébastien Loeb trails by 5’18.

Stéphane Peterhansel has collided with the biker Simon Marcic after 83 km. The Frenchman stopped for a long while to provide assistance to him whilst awaiting the medical team, before resuming the stage. He may well see the return of the time lost this evening.
