In New York Wednesday to greet fans and promote her new limited edition Tissot watch, Patrick wasn’t shy about giving her opinion on the number of skirmishes between drivers lately. “I think it’s awesome. It’s raw entertainment. I love a good fight. You can call us the WWN (as opposed to the WWF),” she quipped.

Patrick herself had a disagreement with Joey Logano over an on-track incident earlier this month in Charlotte. “I think we’re all trying to test each other’s limits to see what we can get away with,” she said, “I think it draws more attention to our sport.”

Tissot (pronounced Tis-oh), however, enables Patrick to show off her feminine side. “They are my longest-standing sponsor at this point in time (since 2005) and it allows me to show my style as a girl and do glamorous photo shoots. It’s a brand that I like as it was the first watch I ever had when I was only 15 when I didn’t even know how to pronounce it,” she explained.

The T-Race Danica Patrick Limited Edition 2014 watch features a stainless steel case, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, 16 Wesselton diamonds and her logo inscribed on the back. Only 999 will be available. The Swiss watchmaker recently opened its flagship store on Fifth Avenue, its first in the U.S.

As Patrick, 32, comes to the end of her second year in the Sprint Cup series, she characterized the season as “good” despite being 28th in the standings. She cited that the qualifying and restarts have “vastly improved” over a year ago and the speed of the car is better.

Patrick’s next start will be Sunday in the Texas 500, the first of three races left in the season. “I can see the light at the end of the tunnel so it feels like a breeze,” she said when asked if she was tired. “I don’t ever get sick of competing but there is the relief (pressure) of not having to perform. You get disappointed after a bad weekend so it’s more of a mental break that you need.”
