Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins won every stage on his way to a dominant victory at the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally win.Co-driven as usual by Craig Drew, the Subaru WRX pair were untouchable through the Pennsylvanian woods as they powered to victory by more than four minutes at the finish yesterday (Saturday).
“This is always a tricky rally,” said Higgins, “and we had a lot of rain on Friday night, which could have made places really tricky and slippery on Saturday. In the end, it was all good.”
Higgins’ Subaru was flying down some of Rally America’s fastest roads, with the WRX regularly clocked north of 130mph.
Rally America moves north-east to Maine for the next round, the New England Forest Rally (July 17/18) and the good news for Higgins is that the competition will be back in the shape of Ken Block on the Sunday River-based event.
