JULIAN CHASING YOUTH DAY GLORY

Van der Watt intent to extend SA Formula Ford championship advantage at Zwartkops

julian-van-der-watt “We’ve been in sensational form this year and I intend on keeping it going. “Now is the time to push to gap the others in the championship — I’ve been preparing myself mentally for weeks to be ready for this race and the team has been prepping the car so we should be good going into the race.
“I won the last three out of four Formula Ford races, so I want to keep that tally going this weekend, but winning is up to the team as much it is to me, so huge thanks to Claudio from Race Driver SA, Ian Schofield and Investchem for all the help and support.”
Van der Watt who also leads the 2016 SA DD2 national karting championship, was forced to make an uneasy choice between racing the Formula Ford at Zwartkops or the kart at the iDube national in KZN this weekend. “Unfortunately we will have to skip the karts this weekend,”  the Cape Town racer confirmed.
