Liqui Moly Legends head for Kyalami

After a short two week break the popular Liqui Moly Inex Legends Series will head to the historic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on Saturday 28 March for the first time in the series history.
This will also be the last time that the category will get to race on this historic track before the planned circuit alterations will take place over the next few months.

A bumper field of entries is expected for this event with the opportunity to race at this historic circuit for the first time being one of the biggest draw cards for most drivers. Once again the line up for this event will see a number of new and old faces on the grid.

The first event of the year produced a few surprise results with a new leading contender at the top of the points table. Llewellyn Myburgh currently tops the points log after the first event with cousin Divan Myburgh only twenty points behind him. Seef Fourie finds himself in third position with defending champion Devin Robertson down in fourth – a place that he no doubt will want to change at Kyalami.

Willie Erasmus will go into the second round in fifth position in the championship with leading Master contender Franco di Matteo in sixth. Rudy Myburgh is now too far behind him but young guns Keagan Wessels (Semi-pro) and Clinton Bezuidenhout (Young Lion) will be doing their best to keep the older generation on top of their game.

The unknown factor for this event will be about who can adapt the best to the new circuit conditions. A number of drivers with experience in other categories will no doubt have the upper hand, but as seen at the first event of the year two weeks ago experience doesn’t necessarily make you the best driver on the day. With more than twenty entries expected on the day the racing promises to be better than ever!
