Killarney Raceway hosts the penultimate round of the National Production Car Championship on Saturday, October 24. The top three spots in the championship are all held by Audi S4 quattro racers – and all four are within the top five.
 The series leader is Michael Stephen (12 – Engen Xtreme) who is hard at work to claim another championship title in this series. Just a point behind is Hennie Groenewald (8 – Audi Sasolracing) who has been on a mission this year to swing Lady Luck in his favour.
Between Stephen and Groenewald, the pair have been fighting for advantage in their search for points and the battle is only going to get more intense in the closing races of the season.
Not to be counted out, Gennaro Bonafede (32 – Audi Sasolracing) will be aiming to bounce back from his Dezzi Raceway outing and put himself back in contention. Bonafede will be looking to close the 26 point deficit to his teammate while still staying out of trouble to further strengthen his third place position in the series.
For Simon Moss (38 – Engen Xtreme) achieving a race win at Dezzi Raceway will see him keen to get back on the top step of the podium. Having achieved fifth place overall in the championship with two rounds to go, Moss will now be looking to try for fourth – with six races to close the 14 point gap.
The action in NPCC racing at Killarney will undoubtedly see the Audi S4 quattro competitors again the racers to beat – while they battle it out amongst themselves to decide who will wear the 2015 crown. |
