Day two of the 25th Sasol Rally started the same way as day one. Leeroy Poulter in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Toyota Yaris won stage 7 at the restart at Sabie. Second was his Toyota Gazoo Racing and Dakar team mate Giniel de Villiers. Poulter was leading de Villiers by 31.2 seconds at the end of stage 7.
Third was Namibian Wilro Dippenaar in the Ford Fiesta who like all the other competitors that
followed were miles of the pace. He was trailing Poulter by 5:09.4 Fourth was the S1600 class Leader, Guy Botterill in a Toyota Etios R2 +7:54.3, followed by Richard Leeke in a Ford Fiesta R2 +8:13.7
Muna Singh from Zambia in a Subaru Impreza , competing in the African Rally Championship, was 9th +11:48.5. He was leading the African contingent.
The second day consist of eight stages before the finish of the event this afternoon at the Floreat Riverside Lodge.
It is the second round of the South African Rally Championship and also the second Round of the African Rally Championship.nThe Clerk of the Course is Willie du Plessis from SAM.
