- Ott Tänak arrives back in service with an 11.7sec advantage over his Hyundai teammate Craig Breen. The Estonian is within touching distance of claiming a very special victory on his home WRC rally.
- A quartet of Toyota’s hold 3rd-6th, with Sébastien Ogier leading the charge. He was forced to play it safe and manage his tyres on Saturday afternoon and trails Tänak by 28.7sec.
- One of the biggest stories of the day was Thierry Neuville’s retirement. He ripped a rear wheel off his Hyundai i20 and was forced to call it a day. The Belgian hopes to restart on Sunday morning.
