Team Novadriver claimed a podium finish at the third race weekend of the TCR Portugal in Portimão (P). The Portuguese duo of Francisco Abreu/Manuel Gião alternated at the wheel of the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR in the four races at the 4.692-kilometre racetrack in the south of Portugal.
Gião finished an impressive second in race four, clocking the fastest lap of the race to cross the finish line behind Francisco Mora (P/Seat), who won all four of the weekend’s races.
Gião had previously come home eighth in the opening race of the weekend. Team-mate Abreu narrowly missed out on the podium in race three, but had to settle for fourth place.
