T’S RACE WEEKEND

Published by: Motorsport Marketing Services
Although it seems like an odd headline, given how the Covid-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down over the last year, claiming it’s race weekend is a fairly big deal. Especially when it means that round two of the Extreme Festival is going ahead as planned.

As good as the news is for race fans, it is even better news for Jarrod Waberski. Jarrod is currently second in the Investchem Formula 1600 championship and is looking to overthrown the “old guard” at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday (17 April 2021).

Jarrod has come tantalisingly close to taking his first main circuit race win, but the top step of the podium has evaded the young South African karting champ. With a bit of luck and the strength of DAW Racing behind him, this could just be the weekend that all of that changes.

“I don’t think it is ever possible to predict what is going to happen in motorsport as there are so many different elements in play, but one thing I know for sure is that I will be giving it my best. I will be happy to earn another podium finish, but am chasing after that race win with a sore heart,” expressed Jarrod.

“I know my time will come and the old saying to finish first, you must first finish will be in the back of my mind,” concluded the FreeM ambassador.
