Watch as two rally drivers survive horror smash in 2017 World Championship in Portugal

Frenchman Quentin Gilbert will be thanking his lucky stars after surviving a horror crash in the 2017 Portugal rally. Gilbert and his co-driver Renaud Jamoul were driving their Skoda Fabia RS when the car unexpectedly flipped over multiple times.

Fortunately both drivers emerged unscathed from the incident which relieved the concerned spectators watching on.

The Rally de Portugal is one round of the World Rally Championship and has taken place over four days in May.

Gilbert’s fellow Frenchman Sebastien Ogier and partner Julien Ingrassia came out as victors of the event, beating Belgian opponents Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gousel who came in second.
